Sum of 1 to Infinity Gives an Astounding Result

Mathematics has continue to amaze everyone who loved it and continue to torture anyone who hates it. The following video will stun you because it sounds ridiculous and not reasonable enough by just using our common sense.

This video will demonstrate the following  relation.

\displaystyle\sum_{i=1}^\infty n=-\displaystyle\frac{1}{12}

This is equivalent to    1+2+3+\ldots+\infty =-\displaystyle\frac{1}{12}

Numberphile, a popular Youtube channel for people who loves to gain knowledge like you explained why the sum of numbers from one to infinity is a negative fractions.

If we just have to think about it, there must be flaws somewhere. Why? Imagine that these numbers were all positive, added and end up with a negative number and a fraction. This clearly violates the closure law of addition.

    Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.
