Rose has 15 flowers. Anna has 4 more flowers than Rose. How many flowers Anna has? How many flowers do they have together?
Since Rose has 15 flowers, Anna have 15+4=19 flowers.
Altogether they have 15+19=34 flowers.
Tom has 19 marbles. His brother gave him 13 more. How many marbles has Tom then?
Tom has 19+13=32 marbles.
There are 18 pupils on the playground. 15 more pupils are coming to join them. How many pupils will there be?
There is 18+15=33 then.
There are 19 apples in the basket. There are 18 apples in another basket. How many apples in all are there?
There is 19+18=37 apples then.
- If 7 is added to it, the sum is 25. What is the number?
- If two numbers are added to it, the sum is 44. What can the two numbers be?
- The number is 25-7=18
- The sum of two numbers must be 44-18=26.
Assuming that the problem is asking for positive numbers, there are 13 pairs of numbers that has a sum of 26.
